Water filter delivery days
This is the heart of our work here in Guatemala — and we want you to be a part of it! Each month we have a water filter delivery day in villages surrounding Lake Atitlán where we serve over 100 families.
This is always a special experience being in connection with the locals and giving back to the community in a tangible way. This will be an early morning and finished after a shared lunch with the local team.

Water Wednesdays Lake Cleanup
Trash has become a major issue in San Marcos, polluting streets, rivers, and of course, the beautiful lake.
Whether you’re just passing through for a few days or you’re calling Lake Atitlan “home”, please join us to keep Atitlán clean and give back to this beautiful place. It’s an amazing way to connect with the land and our community!
📅 When: First Wednesday of every month (upcoming: August 7, September 4, October 2, 2024)
📍 Meeting Spot: Water4Life Office (behind Kula Maya) in San Marcos
⏰ Time: 9-10:30am. Join us for a treat at our office after!
🌟 Things to Bring: Sun protection, water, and a friend! Trash bags and gloves will be provided.

SPLASH JAM
A cliff-jumping competition at the Nature Reserve in San Marcos La Laguna. This fundraiser is raising awareness about the water issues in Guatemala and supporting the first installation of a greywater treatment in the town of Tzununa.

LOS ANGELES MARKETS
At farmers markets in Santa Monica, Mar Vista, and Mid City, our team demonstrated how our village water filter works and shared the environmental issues Guatemala faces. The crowd had the opportunity to donate a filter and receive unique, hand-woven textiles made by a women’s cooperative in Guatemala.

Sounds of the Ocean
Joshua Sam Miller of Sounds of the Ocean led a mindful, sound journey combining recordings of marine life with live instruments and vocals. Located at Eagles Nest, Lake Atitlan, attendees learned about the project before enjoying an experience of the harmonic depths of the ocean.

A fun night in Antigua, Guatemala to raise money for the distribution of village water filters to families in the department of Sacatepequez. This event was in collaboration with Heart for Guatemala and provided opportunities for local Guatemalan companies to share their food, raffle items and salsa classes with our attendees.

A fundraiser under the stars:Water 4 Life Global’s CASINO NIGHT for a Cause in San Diego, California. This annual event provides a fun opportunity to gamble at one of our poker tables, contribute towards a raffle item or dance to our live music! All in the name of clean water.
Your Donations Will Make a HUGE Impact
Access to clean water is a stepping-stone to development. When people gain access to clean water, they are better able to practice good hygiene and sanitation. Children who enjoy good health are far more likely to attend school. Parents put aside their worries of a water related-diseases and the lack of access to clean water. This ultimatly gives them a solution to better sustain their families and communities.
